It does still suffer though from distance from the stage and a buried ill defined bass. However what was certainly unexpected is that from Guns On The Roof onwards the sound is in ‘stereo’. The reason for this ‘stereo’ second half is unclear, it certainly does not appear to be from the soundboard as the vocals do not have the “in your face” quality as would be expected, and the problems of distance and poor bass definition remain from the mono first half. The sound generally though is a notch higher, the guitar sound particularly good. The ‘stereo’ separation is on the guitars but most noticeably on drums. The latter giving it a very unusual sound indeed! Whether from an actual source or it has been ‘doctored’ from the mono source is unclear but the ‘stereo’ sound does certainly add to the enjoyment of what is now a very enjoyable bootleg and one of the best recordings from the Sort It Out Tour. -------------- New info: FLAC > WAV > MAGIX music studio generation 6 deLuxe > WAV > FLAC The 'stereo change' on this mentioned in the above notes turned out to be not stereo at all, and was nothing more than a delay from one channel to the other. It was probably the result of someone's thought of a good idea to do at the time, truth be told, I felt it was slightly annoying on the ear with that delay thing going on, but that's just my opinion.. However, why it's remained in circulation like this for so long just seems strange to me, so with this in mind, and from somebody who cares about these things, I have taken the liberty to rectify this again, I say again because i'd already done this once before to a lower generation lossy source, but I kept that to myself. Fortunately, this time i've been able to do it from this master source recently shared on Dime by bluesdevil, so thanks again to him for that.. I've also made new track points as a few of them were just after a track had already started, and also because i've removed a few audio gaps due to tape flips/stops etc, so this recording has now been made seamless... rp61 2013
